Mixed Rice Plate with Chicken and Assorted Sides

White Rice with Chicken, Cabbage Stir-Fry, Mashed Pumpkin, Beetroot Salad, Potato Salad, and Spicy Tomato Sauce

Ingredients:
  • Long-grain rice
  • Water
  • Salt (optional)
Instructions:
  1. Rinse rice thoroughly in cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Bring water to a boil in a pot, add rice and a pinch of salt.
  3. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until water is absorbed and rice is tender (~15-20 minutes).
Ingredients:
  • Chicken drumsticks
  • Seasoning: garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, thyme
  • Oil (if frying)
Instructions:
  1. Season chicken and marinate for at least an hour.
  2. Grill or fry until golden brown and cooked through.

  • Cooked and diced beetroots
  • Vinegar or lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper
Instructions:
  1. Boil or roast beetroot until tender.
  2. Dice and mix with vinegar or lemon juice, season to taste.

  • Salt
  • Butter (optional)
Instructions:
  1. Peel, dice, and boil until soft.
  2. Mash with a fork or masher, add salt and butter if desired.

5. Stir-fried Vegetables (Cabbage & Carrots)

Ingredients:
  • Shredded cabbage
  • Carrots (optional)
  • Onions, garlic
  • Oil, salt, pepper
Instructions:
  1. Sauté onions and garlic, add cabbage and carrots.
  2. Stir-fry until slightly tender but still crisp.

6. Fried Bean Sauce or Tomato Sauce

Ingredients:
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Onions, garlic
  • Cooked beans (optional)
  • Bell peppers
  • Seasoning: bouillon, chili, salt
Instructions:
  1. Sauté onions and garlic, add chopped tomatoes and peppers.
  2. Add beans if using and simmer until thick.

Ingredients:
  • Boiled potatoes, diced
  • Mayonnaise
  • Mustard (optional)
  • Salt, pepper
Instructions:
  1. Boil and cool potatoes.
  2. Mix with mayo, mustard, salt, and pepper.
