Beef stew served with salads!
Beef stew recipe
Ingredients
- 500g stewing beef
- 1 to 2 tbs lamb rub
- 2tbs tomato sauce
- 2 tbs soya sauce
- 500ml Beef stock
- Salt and black peppercorns
- 1tbs olive oil
Method
Rub the beef with the lamb rub. Heat the tablespoon of oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the beef and sear for 5 to 8 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Drizzle with soya sauce and add tomato sauce and mix well. After a minute or 2 add stock, Bring to boil , cover and let it simmer for about 60 minutes. Add more water when necessary and continue to simmer until cooked or the stock reduces Taste and adjust seasoning, add salt and pepper if necessary
