Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) beef (sirloin or flank steak), thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Prepare the beef:
In a bowl, mix the sliced beef with cornstarch and a little soy sauce. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
Cook the beef:
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry until browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Cook the vegetables:
Add the remaining oil to the pan. Stir-fry the onions and bell peppers for about 3-5 minutes, until they are slightly tender but still crisp.
Combine everything:
Return the beef to the pan. Add the garlic, ginger (if using), soy sauce, oyster sauce, and hoisin sauce. Stir well to combine and heat everything through for another 2-3 minutes.
Serve hot with rice or noodles.
