Ingredients:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Press the cookie dough evenly into the prepared cake pan.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set. (Do not overbake if you want a softer center.)
Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Slice and enjoy!
