Ingredients:
For the Dough:
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
For the Filling:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
For the Icing:
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Dough: In a bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy. Add melted butter, salt, egg, and flour. Knead until smooth. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
2. Make the Filling: Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
3. Roll Out and Fill: Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, and sprinkle the sugar-cinnamon mixture evenly.
4. Roll and Cut: Roll the dough into a log and slice into 12-15 rolls. Place them in a greased baking dish.
5. Final Rise: Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes
6. Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
7. Prepare the Icing: Mix powdered sugar, butter, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
8. Glaze and Serve: Spread icing over warm rolls and enjoy!
